Dear readers,
What a crazy week it has been!
Last Sunday I decided that I was ready to announce to the world that I was pregnant. I was far enough along that my risk of a miscarriage was very low, and everything had gone really well up to that point. Well, the very next day I thought I was having a miscarriage and ended up calling 911 and going to the emergency room!
Thankfully, a follow-up ultrasound confirmed everything looks just fine, and we got to see the baby’s feet and toes as it kicked up a storm!
Anyway, my regular pregnancy exhaustion (which has been extreme!), the miscarriage scare, and tight freelance writing deadlines throughout it all caused me to fall behind on my Substack—but I have many ideas on the back burner and will be resuming regular programming very soon!
In fact, as I get further along and when I one day have my little infant, it will be impossible for me to continue the kind of writing that has been my bread and butter for over a decade, as the work is too sporadic and deadlines usually too tight. So I certainly plan on continuing my writing here and, by prioritizing it, I aim to make reading my Substack even more with your while.
I’m excited about what I have planned, and I hope you will enjoy it too!
Just relax. Get your sleep. Loosen up your schedule. We'll be here when you're ready.
We're with you.
