The conversation about the harms of medical gender transition centers mostly around children, as it should. So many children are being ushered down a pathway that they have no hope of consenting to in a fully informed manner. It is certainly more tragic than adults choosing to pursue this path. But many cases of adult transition are also tragic, and our care and concern shouldn’t end just because someone turns 18.
