A Canadian Trans Widow's Story
Read it on Gender Dissent!
I recently had the opportunity to get in touch with a trans widow—a woman whose husband declared a transgender identity and decided to transition.
Sally, a pseudonym I am using to protect her identity, described a story of abuse and shared that she is currently struggling to support herself and her daughter while her ex-husband is enjoying the spotlight as a trans activist.
You can read Sally’s story over on Gender Dissent: From Abusive Husband to Trans Community Darling: A Trans Widow Speaks Out.
(The writing I do for Gender Dissent on these topics is voluntary and unpaid. You can help support my work with a one-time donation through PayPal! Please note if you would like any or all of your donation to go to Sally instead and I will be happy to pass it along—in fact, I encourage this!).
