Canada Continues to Target Children in Care with Gender-Affirming "Care"
The right to sterilize kids
Canada has an ugly history of targeting children in foster care with the ghoulish medical experimentation known as “gender-affirming care.” In 2019, psychologist Wallace Wong was exposed after bragging that he was seeing more than 500 kids in care at his gender health clinic in British Columbia.
More recently, the British Columbia Office of the Representative for Children and Youth (RCY) released a report that the CBC says calls on the provincial government to “prioritize the protection of two-spirit and gender-diverse children and youth.”
(You can read the full document here.)
What the RCY means by “protection” is anything but. In fact, it is direct harm.
The report claims that “two-spirit, transgender, non-binary and other gender-diverse children and youth” (2STNBGD) have a “higher instance of injury reports associated with suicidality and self-harm.”
Elizabeth Saewyc, who was an expert witness for the BC College of Nurses and Midwives in its hearing against my friend Amy Hamm, claims that this is due to factors such as “frequent misgendering” and “long delays in care.”
Apparently, proper therapy is completely out of the question. To make a difference in the well-being of these kids, Saewyc says we should start with “recognizing their identities.”
The article continues [emphasis mine]:
According to the report, gender-affirming care can take the form of social, emotional, legal and cultural support, as well as access to gender-knowledgeable physicians, chest binders, puberty blockers or hormone treatments.
So, certain children in the care of the BC government are expressing distress in relation to their “gender,” and the answer is to sterilize them and bind the breasts of the girls for good measure.
I should also note that, in Canada, indigenous children are significantly overrepresented in care. According to Census 2021, indigenous children represent 7.7% of the Canadian child population but 53.8% of children in foster care.
Indigenous children were also overrepresented (18.8%) in a 2021 study that “described characteristics of trans youth in Canada at first referral visit.”
(The study was headed by Greta Bauer, another of the “expert” witnesses called by the BCCNM against Amy Hamm.)
My friend Lois, a First Nations advocate, has sent an e-mail to the RCY requesting more information about how many of the indigenous children and youth in care receiving “gender-affirming care” because:
I am concerned for the welfare and legacy of Indigenous children & youth who may or may not identify as ‘2S, transgender, non-binary, and other’ given Canada’s rich history of coerced and forced sterilization of the Indigenous populations.
We’ll see if anyone over there has enough of a spine to reply.

How about recognising the trauma and dangerously low self-esteem so often suffered by kids in the care system? This obsession with "identities" which are frequently recognisable as the result of social contagion and that no longitudinal study has ever shown are a permanent feature of the psyches of those who display them while growing up is surely a diabolical distraction?
Thank you for this post! It's genocide with gynocide, considering the horrific history of Canada trying to wipe out Indigenous peoples. (As you said so well!)
