I find it completely astonishing that after all the supposed concern about Indigenous people, that they can find nothing wrong with sterilizing Indigenous youth. This is a scandal that will make residential schools look like picnics.

And to not question how sexual assault and abuse is a reason girls want to be boys? I know an adult Lesbian who chose to "transition," she said, because "I didn't want to be raped any more." What oppressed people, as young and these kids are, not knowing any other possible options to have their lives transformed into much more safety and even privilege, wouldn't want that protection -- especially if they don't know the terrible harm and dangers the surgery and hormones cause, and how it's all irreversible?
The stereotype / dysphoria axis - aversion or worry over lack of stereotype traits drive children to believe they can adopt a sex with the “right” traits, a la carte.
Abuse only amplifies it, doesn’t it - “what is wrong with me”
