The "trans teen suicide plague" is the Big Lie, the "Trump won" of "trans."
You call it "emotional blackmail"; I disagree. "Live son or dead daughter" is actual criminal blackmail when it's used by clinicians to extort parents into signing the treatment contract. A parent who is offered this choice should engage a lawyer and sue the clinic to shutter its "services."

In other words, "𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬" 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫.
This Big Lie serves as the foundation of all "trans" advocacy, passion, and emotionalism. Exposure of the Big Lie pulls the rug out from under the whole movement, leaving only some repellent and clearly unbalanced people who can't stop talking about themselves.
Please consider this, you have many of us who will do all in our power to see that it gets distributed. It would do a lot to encourage blackmailed parents to sue instead of conceding to have their children mutilated.
What an inhumane and evil thing to do to a parent, to tell them if they DON'T medicalize their child, they'll commit suicide. As you pointed out, there are no reputable studies to prove that gender affirming care reduces suicidality. It really is junk science.
And, just to add another element to this...I was listening to an Illusion of Consensus podcast in which Rav interviewed clinical psychologist Dr. Roger McFillin. The use of antidepressants is actually linked to a 6 fold increase in suicidal thoughts. How much do you want to bet that the majority of these children/youth are also on antidepressants for anxiety???
