My First Year on Substack!

It’s my first full year on Substack today! What a journey it has been. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and who has been reading and supporting my work. I feel like I started this at just the right time to document a lot of exciting things that have been happening in the fight against gender ideology recently and I certainly plan to keep going!

The way my Substack got its start is actually kind of funny. I had created one but it was dormant and I was dragging my feet starting it, mostly because I was way too busy. But then, someone made a pledge! I didn’t really know what that means, so I started poking around in my settings and connected my recently created Stripe account for future use.

To my horror, that caused it to automatically take the money of the person who made the pledge! At the time I luckily didn’t know I could refund it, so instead I thought that I better get some content up so that I wasn’t taking someone’s pledge for nothing!

Luckily, I happened to have a piece in the works that I had been sitting on for a few months and didn’t know who to give it to. So, I polished it up and posted it. To this day, it remains my most-viewed post, and it’s still one of the ones I’m most proud of:

In addition to this, I have now made 134 other posts on my Substack this year! I laugh when people tell me I write a lot and are referring only to my Substack or other public work they see—it’s a fraction of what I write in total when considering my freelancing work!
